1) Coordination of transportation services in a defined area. The transportation broker may centralize vehicle dispatch, record keeping, vehicle maintenance, and other functions under contractual arrangement with agencies, municipalities, and other organizations. 2) A method of matching travelers with a variety of transportation providers through use of central dispatching and administrative facilities. (TRB1)
