Special Purpose Vehicle
A motor vehicle commercially designed for some purpose other than the transportation of personnel, supplies, or equipment. This definition excludes any motor vehicle designed for transport and modified locally as an expedient for meeting special needs; e.g., a pickup with a snowplow blade attached. (GSA2)
