Object Class
As the term is used in expense classification, an object is an article or service obtained. An object class is a grouping of expenses on the basis of goods or services purchased. The object classes include salaries and wages, fringe benefits, services, materials and supplies, and other expenses as defined in Section 7.2, Volume II of the Uniform System of Accounts (USOA).
