Local Operations
Performed by aircraft which; 1) Operate in the local traffic pattern or within sight of the airport. 2) Are known to be departing for, or arriving from, flight in local practice areas within a 20 mile radius of the airport. 3) Execute simulated instrument approaches or low passes at the airport. Itinerant operations are all airport operations other than local operations. (FAA2)
