Freight Forwarding

Establishments primarily engaged in undertaking the transportation of goods from shippers to receivers for a charge covering the entire transportation, and in turn making use of the services of various freight carriers in effecting delivery. Establishment pays transportation charges as part of its costs of doing business and assumes responsibility for delivery of the goods. There are no direct relations between shippers and the various freight carriers performing the movement. (BOC1)
