Fleet Vehicles

1) Private fleet vehicles: ideally, a vehicle could be classified as a member of a fleet if it is operated in mass by a corporation or institution, operated under unified control, or used for non-personal activities; however, the definition of a fleet is not consistent throughout the fleet industry. Some companies make a distinction between cars that were bought in bulk rather than singularly, or whether they are operated in bulk, as well as the minimum number of vessels that constitute a fleet (i.e. 4 or 10); 2) Government fleet vehicles: includes vehicles owned by all federal (GSA) state, county, city, and metro units of government, including toll road operations. (DOE6)
