(See also Cylinder, Engine Displacement) The total volume within all cylinders of an engine, when pistons are at their lowest positions. The engine is usually measured in "liters" or "cubic inches of displacement (CID)." Generally, larger engines result in greater engine power, but less fuel efficiency.
