Emergency Contingency Vehicles
Revenue vehicles placed in an inactive contingency fleet for energy or other local emergencies after the revenue vehicles have reached the end of their normal minimum useful life. The vehicles must be properly stored and maintained, and the Emergency Contingency Plan must be approved by FTA. Substantial changes to the plan (10% change in fleet) require re-approval by FTA.
