Brush Out
(See also Landscaping) To clear out the brush or vegetation around a light or day mark so that the structure is visible to navigation in all necessary directions. An aid should be cleared or brushed out so as to be completely visible to navigation from the beginning of its use in a set of marks until it is no longer being used in that or another set of marks.
