Private Motor Carrier
A person who is engaged in an enterprise and provides transportation of passengers, by motor vehicle, that is within the scope of, and in the furtherance of that enterprise. (49CFR390)
A person who provides transportation of property by motor vehicle, and is not a for-hire motor carrier. (49CFR390)
