Automatic Terminal Information Service

Transportation DictionaryBTS Transportation Dictionary
The continuous broadcast of recorded noncontrol information in selected terminal areas. Its purpose is to improve controller effectiveness and to relieve frequency congestion by automating the repetitive transmission of essential but routine information. (FAA4)
