Automated Radar Tracking System
An automated radar and radar beacon tracking system. Its functional capabilities and design are essentially the same as the terminal Automated Radar Terminal System (ARTS) IIIA system except for the En Route Automated Radar Systems (EARTS) capability of employing both short-range Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) and long-range Air Route Surveillance Radar (ARSR) radars, use of full digital radar displays, and fail-safe design.
