Appropriate Air Traffic Service Authority
The relevant authority designated by the State responsible for providing air traffic services (ATS) in the airspace concerned. In the United States, the "appropriate ATS authority" is the Director, Office of Air Traffic System Management, ATM-1. (FAA4)
