Allowance For Depreciation
Asset valuation account which includes the balance of the offsetting credit to be capitalized asset value-to represent the loss and deterioration in value of the asset over time, so that the asset is amortized over its useful life, and provisions are made for replacement of the asset at the end of its productive life.
