Airport and Airways Trust Fund
Mechanism for funding capital improvements for the nation's air traffic control system and airports. The fund is supported by taxes contributed by users of the aviation system, including an 10 percent tax of airline passengers and a tax on aviation fuel. Established by the Airport and Airway Revenue Act of 1970. (FAA11)
