World Meteorological Organization

Originally established under another name in 1875, the WMO was
reconstituted and renamed in 1951. The WMO facilitates worldwide
cooperation in establishing a network for meteorological, hydrological, and
geophysical observations, for exchanging meteorological and related
information, and for promoting standardization in meteorological
measurements. Organization headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland.
