Defense Conversion Subcommittee
The DCS promotes trade between U.S. industry and the Russian defense sector
by identifing investment opportunities, supporting changes in U.S.
government export control and other policies which limit opportunities for
U.S. industry to participate in Russian defense conversion activities, and
identifying prospective business contacts for U.S. industry. Subcommittee
membership includes the Departments of Commerce, Defense, Energy, Labor,
and State, the Agency for International Development, the Export-Import
Bank, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. DCS is a
subcommittee of the Intergovernmental U.S.-Russia Business Development
Committee which was established in June 1992.
